Platypus World

Recently our Preps, Grade 1s, and Grade 2s headed off to Platypus House for an unforgettable wildlife experience!

Students were captivated by the platypuses swimming, diving, and zipping around their tanks, and were absolutely delighted to meet the echidnas up close. There were plenty of curious questions, wide eyes, and “wow!” moments as we learned all about these amazing Australian animals. We even got to watch the keepers feed these curious little creatures!

Fun fact: Platypuses and echidnas are monotremes—the only mammals in the world that lay eggs!

What a fantastic day of learning, exploring, and celebrating God’s amazing creation!
